In the last year we have more than doubled our class timetable. Our timetable now gives you the choice of over 80 classes a week. We have added in more of your favourite classes such Yoga, BodyPump, pilates and Boxfit. In addition we have added Mindfulness to our programme. With so much choice, there has never been a better reason to get down to the club this year.

New Class Booking Feature

January & February are traditionally the busiest months across the globe for gym usage. The good news is we are a private members club so we only replace the numbers who leave us each month so although the clubs may feel busier, it is our members who are just attending more frequently. This is great to see and we have added on loads of extra classes in preparation for this time of they year.

In addition we have added an exciting new feature to your class booking app. You can now simply add your name to a waiting list if your favourite class is full. You will receive an email when you have been allocated a space. Give it a try but remember if you can’t attend a class yourself, to cancel your booking!

Valentine’s Day

On Tuesday 14th of February we celebrated Valentine’s Day. After their workout our members enjoyed chocolates and a glass of prosecco. Everyone also got to take a rose home with them. These ladies certainly had a good time after their dance class with Rebecca.

New Stretching Mats

We recently purchased in new stretching mats. Stretching is hugely important. It keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. We have also added new trigger point foam rollers, bosu balls and resistance bands. If you’re unsure how to use any of these please book in with one of our trainers at reception or through the app.

Upgrades in the male and female shower area.

You will have noticed the upgrade in the shower area in both the male and female changing rooms. New chrome dispensers and shower shelves have been added. We have also put in extra hooks for towels in the female changing rooms while the men’s family room has also had extra hooks added. We have had a very positive response from this and we are always looking at ways in which we can improve your experience. Please do not hesitate to forward me any suggestions on or in the club.

Maintenance work

We have continued to work with Thermodial to ensure the temperature of the pool remains at perfect temperature which is between 29 and 30 degrees. More work has been completed this month to ensure that we maintain these levels. I am sure that this will increase your overall comfort while using the pool.

Our maintenance team have also been busy throughout February. The TRX studio has been repainted as has much of the reception area. We have also installed new lighting in the car park. This will make it far easier to see in the evening and early morning.

Expert Leisure who are our fitness equipment maintenance contractors have been on site this month. We had our quarterly service on all our cardio equipment. They have fixed some problems that we had with our treadmills, cross trainers and rowers.

Bright is leaving us at the end of February. Bright has handed in notice as he wishes to further his career. He has been a great asset to the club over the past 7 years. He is not only very efficient in how he works but also had the time to interact with all members. He has been a pleasure to work with and will be truly missed.

We would now like to welcome Alfred to the team. We are excited to have him join us. He is due to start this Wednesday. Please say hello to him on the gym floor.
